HND in Business: choosing between Management, Marketing and Procurement & Supply

The Pearson BTEC HND in Business runs for 24 months. Year one is the same for everyone: eight Level 4 units covering the business environment, marketing, people, leadership, accounting, a business project, business law and the customer experience. In year two you take four core units plus three units from the specialisation you choose. You pick in your second year, so you do not have to decide on day one.

What every specialisation shares

All three share four core units in year two: Research Project, Organisational Behaviour Management, Customer Value Management and International Marketing.

Management

Management adds Managing and Leading Change, Global Business Environment, and Principles of Operations Management. It suits you if you see yourself running teams and operations and helping an organisation adapt when things change.

Marketing

Marketing adds Marketing Insights and Analytics, Digital Marketing, and Integrated Marketing Communications. It suits you if you are drawn to understanding customers, working with data and digital channels, and planning campaigns.

Procurement & Supply Management

Procurement & Supply Management adds Principles of Operations Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, and Pitching and Negotiation Skills. It suits you if you are interested in buying, supply chains and negotiating with suppliers. Graduates of Aspire's Diploma in Procurement & Supply Management can progress into this specialisation; read our guide to that diploma.
